Overview

Define mid-to-long-term product and technology roadmaps, lead full-lifecycle R&D of next-gen forestry machinery, and build a global R&D team.

Responsibilities

"1. Strategic Planning: Define mid-to-long-term product and technology roadmaps aligned with global trends in forestry mechanization, electrification, and intelligence.

2. Product Management: Lead full-lifecycle R&D of next-gen forestry machinery (harvesters, forwarders, bunchers, etc.), from concept design to EOL management.

3. Technical Breakthroughs: Overcome core technologies in high-reliability hydraulics, drivetrains, durable structures, and intelligent controls; drive telematics and automated operation.

4. Team Building: Build and lead a global R&D team (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, software) with efficient cross-functional collaboration.

5. Innovation & Compliance: Track emissions, safety, and forestry regulations; manage IP and core patents.

6. Budget & Resources: Set R&D budgets, control development costs, and ensure on-time, on-quality, on-target-cost delivery."

Requirements

Expert in machine integration, hydraulic systems, power matching, and electrical control systems; proficient in PLM, DFMEA, and reliability design; knowledgeable in electric/hybrid applications; strategic thinking with business acumen; cross-cultural, cross-time-zone team management; English as working language

Preferred Qualifications

Led next-gen product R&D at major forestry machinery companies (e.g., Ponsse, John Deere, Komatsu Forest) or holds core invention patents

Language Requirements

English as working language

Travel Requirements

Frequent domestic and international travel; field visits to forestry sites to understand customer pain points
